In August 2022 the Fagradalsfjall volcano erupted and I decided to take a last minute trip to Iceland with camera & drone in hand to capture this fantastic once in a life time (well I hope I can do it again) opportunity.

I flew out the Tuesday, rented a small camper van and headed over to the site. I spent the whole of Wednesday just watching the endless stream of Lava pouring out. It was mesmerising! The heat, the noise the smell. It was just amazing.

On the Thursday I had a late flight home so took a small road trip, north of Reykjavik to Kurkjufell then back to the airport in the afternoon snapping some images as I went.
